Folsom Lake has three campground:
Beal's Point - Developed, open year round and requires reservations.
Negro Bar - Developed group campgrounds.
Peninsula - Remote, subject to winter and/or road closures, reservations required during on-season.
On board boat camping is allowed on vessels that have a self-contained sanitary unit.
Pets must be on a leash no more than six feet long. They are allowed only in the campground, picnic area and parking area. At night they must be confined in a tent, camper or enclosed vehicle.
Horseback riding is limited to designated trails, horse assembly areas, and to brief shoreline access for watering purposes in unpopulated areas.
Folsom Lake waters hold trout, catfish, largemouth and smallmouth bass, perch, and kokanee salmon. An accessible fishing pier is available on Lake Natoma at the Nimbus Flat park entrance. A valid California fishing license is required.
Hiking is permitted unless otherwise indicated by signage.
Mountain biking is permitted on designated trails.
