U.S. Forest Service - Wilderness
A Wilderness Visitor's Permit is required for overnight visits.
Pets must be under your control at all times.
Horseback riding is permitted on designated trails. Bring all needed supplies including water.
Hundreds of lakes, rivers and streams provide endless opportunities to fish.

Hiking is permitted throughout the area.
Hunting, fishing, and non-commercial trapping are allowed under state and local laws.
Target shooting is permitted in many areas of the forest. Seasonal restrictions occur due to fire hazard. Check with the Ranger District office nearest to where you wish to visit before you shoot.
Regulations & Recommendations
Vehicles are not permitted in wilderness areas.
