Activities

Camping

Camping is limited to 14 days. After 14 days, campers must relocate at least 25 miles from previous site.

Indian Wells Canyon campsite is surrounded by the wilderness.

Pets

Pets must be under your control at all times.

Equestrian

Horseback riding is permitted throughout the area. Bring all needed supplies including water.

Hiking

Hiking is permitted throughout the area.

Hunting

Hunting, fishing, and non-commercial trapping are allowed under state and local laws.

Shooting

Please clean up your cartridges and target material.

Glass should not be used. Clay pigeons are discouraged as they're difficult for the user to clean up all debris.

Regulations & Recommendations

Vehicles are not permitted in wilderness areas. Indian Wells Canyon is not designated as part of the wilderness area. This road can be used by motor vehicles and bicycles in addition to horses and hikers.

The northern edge of the wilderness area is outside the map coverage area.
