Salton Sea State Recreation Area covers 14 miles of the northeastern shore of the Salton Sea and has long been a popular site for campers, hikers, boaters, wildlife viewing and anglers.

"New Camp" has campsites, restrooms and showers.
No pets are allowed on the beach. Animals must be kept
on a six-foot leash, and in a vehicle or tent
at night.
Tiapia are the only fish that remain in the salty sea.
