This district covers a range of terrain over dispersed area. Forest land in this region is discontinuous due to private property. 250 miles of trails that allow motor vehicles. 300 miles of non-motorized trails.

Camping is permitted at designated sites.
Dogs must be on a leash no more than 6 feet long. Do not bring more than two dogs or other pet to any one campsite. Guide dogs are an exception.
Horseback riding is permitted on all National Forest trails and roads, except for nature trails.
Hiking is permitted throughout the forest.
Hunting is permitted throughout the Los Padres National Forest during hunting seasons designated by the California State Department of Fish and Game.
Motor vehicles is permitted on designated trails.
Be aware that some roads are closed seasonally or due to weather conditions.

Mountain biking is permitted on all National Forest trails and roads, except for nature trails and wilderness areas.
Off-Highway Vehicles are permitted on designated trails.

Spark arresters are required!
Target shooting is permitted in many areas of the forest. Seasonal restrictions occur due to fire hazard. Check with the Ranger District office nearest to where you wish to visit before you shoot.
