Beautiful views of San Diego's south bay and the Tijuana river valley. Well maintained roads make the area easily accessible to just about any 2WD truck or SUV.
Vehicles are not permitted in wilderness areas. The roads on Otay Mountain are not designated as part of the wilderness area. Vehicles must remain on road at all times and obey all signs! Donahoe Mountain is to the east and can be used for limited off-road activity.

Camping is permitted, limited to 14 days. After 14 days, campers must relocate at least 25 miles from previous site.
Please set up camp in previously disturbed sites.
This area is rarely used for camping.
Horses are permitted on all roads and trails in the wilderness area.
Hiking is permitted throughout the wilderness area.
Hunting and non-commercial trapping are allowed under state and local laws.
Motor vehicles are permitted on designated roads.
The area offers "Leisure Riding". Most roads that permit vehicles are maintained gravel. It's a nice way to access the Donahoe Mountain area to the east that has actual dirt and terrain.
Mountain biking is permitted on all roads in the wilderness area. Bikes are not allowed on trails.
Pets are allowed and must be under your control at all times.
